Marc Blucas Net Worth $1.5 Million
Marc was born to a family of mixed ancestry – his father is of half Polish and half Slovakian descent, and from his mother’s side he is of English, Scottish and Serbian descent. Although born in Butler, Marc moved to Girard, Pennsylvania as a teenager where he attended Girard High School, and became the star player of the school’s basketball team. Blucas went on a full scholarship to study at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem North Carolina, where he continued playing basketball alongside future star Tim Duncan. During his studies, he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, and graduated in 1994. Subsequently after a failed attempt to enter the NBA, Marc moved to England and played basketball with Manchester Giants for a year. Unsure of what he wanted to pursue as his professional career, Blucas first decided to become a lawyer, but then changed his mind and turned to acting instead. One of his first roles was in the television movie „Inflammable“ (1995), which launched his future career in both television and film. Marc then played the character of a basketball hero in „Pleasantville“(1998), but his first major role came a year later when he landed the role of Agent Riley Finn in „Buffy the Vampire Slayer“, following which Blucas was named one of the Top Ten Sexiest Men of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel universe in a fan poll. His net worth was also now well established.
After leaving the series, he appeared in films such as „Summer Catch“(2001) – in which he portrayed the character based on real life baseball player Michael Macone – „We Were Soldiers“(2002) in which he starred next to Chris Klein and Mel Gibson, and „First Daughter“(2004) in which his co-star was Katie Holmes. Blucas then starred in thrillers „Thr3e“ and „The Killing Floor“, and landed a role in TV series pilot of the drama „True Blue“ in 2010. He is also well-known to public as Matthew Donnelly in the first two seasons of „Necessary Roughness“, which was released in June 2011.
When it comes to his more recent activities, in 2016 Marc has starred in TV series „Underground“ produced by singer John Legend. His net worth is still consistent.
Privately, Blucas has been married to journalist Ryan Haddon since 2009, daughter of Dayle Haddon and a famous Canadian model and actress. In addition to his acting career, Marc also works as a basketball team coach in a private all-girls Catholic high school in Los Angeles.
