Alyssa Milano Wore A Crochet Coronavirus Mask And People Are Roasting Her For It

If you were ready to make fun of Alyssa Milano for wearing a crochet Coronavirus mask you might want to hold off on the sarcasm. It all started on Saturday afternoon when Alyssa shared a photo of herself, her husband Dave Bugliari, and the couple’s two children: Milo and Elizabella in a car wearing their face masks. She added a PSA-style caption and encouraged everyone to show off their face masks. The problem surfaced quickly as Alyssa wore a cream-white face mask that was full of spaces that typically arise in crocheting. People began roasting Alyssa telling her that her mask had holes in it and was virtually ineffective.

It seemed that would have been enough, but then people started taking photos of themselves in ridiculous masks and tweeted them at Alyssa, with replies that their masks were more effective than hers. Some straight-up called Alyssa Milano stupid for wearing the mask and posting a picture of it!

This really seemed to anger Alyssa who snapped back that her mother makes the crochet face protection and includes a carbon filter in the lining. Wow. Way to get a point across to the haters, Alyssa!

In fact, Alyssa’s carbon-lined, crochet Coronavirus mask is probably safer than the ones most people are wearing! You can see Alyssa’s clap back in the tweet below.

Mask has a filter in it for fuck’s sake. A carbon one. My mom makes them. 🙄 #WearAMask https://t.co/tyzePPSekj

You might think that Alyssa’s response that the crochet mask has a lining would be enough to silence the critics but it wasn’t. Some didn’t believe there really was a carbon filter in it and challenged Alyssa to take a photo showing the mask with the filter. Alyssa didn’t share a photo of her mask and filter. Instead, she shared a photo of filters on Amazon for sale.

What do you think about Alyssa Milano’s clap back? Did you see her original tweet and the responses that she received? Did you agree with those who looked at the mask and wondered why she was wearing a face covering with holes in it?
